Tottenham handed injury boost ahead of Sunday's north London derby

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that both Pedro Porro and Richarlison will be available for Tottenham's north London derby meeting with Arsenal on Sunday.

The former was forced off during Spurs' 4-0 clash with Newcastle two weeks ago, whereas his Brazilian team-mate has been absent for the last few weeks after suffering from a recurrent knee issue.

The derby hosts will be keen to halt their rivals' tilt at the title at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as well as to galvinise their hopes of a top-four finish after ceding ground to Aston Villa.

And Postecoglou was keen to reassure fans that their ranks will be boosted by the two returning players.

'Pedro and Richy both trained all week, so both are available,' the Antipodean manager confirmed on Friday ahead of the weekend's meeting.

The news provides a positive counterweight to this week's injury blow in north London, which saw promising youngster Destiny Udogie ruled out for the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery.

The Italian midfielder suffered a thigh injury during training and was forced to confirm the end of his campaign on social media on Saturday.

The 21-year-old has been a lynchpin member of Spurs' high-flying squad this term, featuring 33 times for the Lilywhites across all competitions.

'Disappointing one for Destiny and ourselves because he's been a big part of our year,' Postecoglou added.

'Just an unfortunate incident in training, but he's had the operation and it's gone well.'

Oliver Skipp will also miss out on the derby after suffering what has been termed a 'minor knock' this week.
