Arsenal transfer news: Gabriel Magalhaes has been linked with a shock exit this summer having started both of the Gunners' Premier League fixtures on the bench

Gabriel Magalhaes is expected to stay at Arsenal this summer despite interest from Saudi Arabia and Real Madrid for the defender.

The 25-year-old played in every single Premier League game last season, but has started the opening two fixtures of the 2023/24 campaign on the bench. He has only played 24 minutes in total, causing speculation to circle over his future.

"He’s played in both games (off the bench against both Palace and Nottingham Forest), he’s helped us to win both games for different reasons. He was really good today, he absolutely dominated the box. He’s going to play a lot of games. That’s the decision sometimes."

That's according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, who has made it clear the former Lille ace won't be leaving. "The first negotiation between Al Ittihad and Gabriel Magalhaes is something that sources close to Arsenal and close to the player consider almost impossible," he said Kick.

"Arsenal have no intention to sell Gabriel, they consider him a very important player.

"My sources, yesterday, when I was asking, they told me not even €200million (£170m) will convince Arsenal to let Gabriel Magalhaes go. So at the moment, Gabriel is staying at Arsenal. That is very strong and clear."
