Arsenal fans mocked rivals Manchester City before their game with Brentford on Saturday with a banner relating to their recent Premier League charges.
The Gunners were five points clear of City before kick-off against the Bees and were pushed by Thomas Frank's side in their bid to extend their lead.
The banner, presented in the home end, read: 'Arsenal FC. Class and tradition. Something oil money can't buy.'
City are owned by an Abu Dhabi based group who have spent heavily since buying the club in 2008.
Recent Premier League charges relate to several financial breaches over a number of years.
The two sides cross paths for the first time in the Premier League on Wednesday evening in what is certain to be a huge landmark in the title race.
The two clubs do have several standing links, with Gunners manager Mikel Arteta formerly Pep Guardiola's assistant at the Etihad.
Arsenal players Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus were also signed from City.
Guardiola recently lashed out at Premier League rivals for their apparent involvment in the charges, accusing them of driving the calls in a witch hunt against City, namechecking Tottenham’s Daniel Levy.
Levy also referenced the recent spending of Premier League clubs in a statement accompanying Tottenham's financial accounts.
Arteta, meanwhile, refused to comment on the charges on Friday.
'I'm not going to make any comment on that, I'm sorry,' he told his pre-Brentford press conference.
However, having refused to answer questions on the matter, Arteta was then asked if he had seen anything untoward going on at the club, to which he replied simply 'No'.

Arsenal fans think they have already won the EPL title no knowing there's a lot to be done. Sometimes depth of the squad matters cause teams get adapted to your way of play and if you don't be dynamic you can't be persistent in your performance Don't mock City, they are not guilty yet. Focus on the way u are losing form.

Sometimes you don't have to over react when the results are not yet out.. If the matter is still at the court level, wait for what the court decides before making noise.. Otherwise we man City will come for you next week and trash you out.. Arsenal is going nowhere believe me.. This team will finish off second or third on this pl table.. Man City will win it..
