€1.6bn-rated Real Madrid move above Man Utd and Barcelona in brand value

According to the recent report published by Brand Finance, the Spanish club has a brand value of over 1.6 million euros, despite a poor season.

Real Madrid have put themselves on top of the pile as football's most valuable brand according to a report issued by Brand Finance, an independent branded business valuation consultancy.

Madrid valuation back on top

According to the study, Los Blancos have a brand value of 1.646 million euros, making them one of only six clubs to exceed one billion. Behind them sit Manchester United (1.472 million), Barcelona (1.393 million), Bayern Munich (1.314 million), Manchester City (1.255 million) and Liverpool (1.191 million).

This report returns Madrid to the number one spot in the ranking after almost a decade. The value of the capital club's brand increased by 27% from last year, which was when it became the first in the world to reach 750 million euros in revenue. In addition, the enterprise of Real Madrid is also the most valuable in the world of football at 4.179 million euros, followed closely by Barcelona (4.125 million) and Manchester United (4.044 million).
