The former Barcelona midfielder registered two assists as Kobe claimed their first ever win in the competition.

First of all, he set up Keijiro Ogawa with a ball over the top to break the deadlock before the Malaysian side equalised from the penalty spot.

Then he found Gotoku Sakai down the left wing and the Japanese full-back squared it for Ogawa to score a third goal.

Ogawa benefitted from Iniesta's range of passing again as he headed in the Spaniard's dinked cross to make it 5-1 in the 72nd minute.
