Aaron Ramsey ‘excited to play under Jurgen Klopp’ with Liverpool set to make another move

Liverpool are set to make another move for Aaron Ramsey and the Welshman is understood to be excited by the prospect of playing under Jurgen Klopp.

The Arsenal midfielder’s deal expires at the end of the season. He had agreed fresh terms on a four-year contract with the north London club but that offer was withdrawn as talks broke down.

That means Ramsey, who has been at the club since 2008, is likely to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

A number of clubs are interested in securing his services, including Manchester United, Chelsea and Juventus, but Liverpool plan to lead the chase.

And they will have an advantage with The Mirror reporting that Ramsey is a big  admirer of Klopp and his methods.

The 27-year-old would also get the chance to reunite with former team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, should a move go ahead.

The Reds Liverpool will offer Ramsey the chance of returning to the Champions League and being involved once again in a Premier League title challenge.

Ramsey has been asked to play in several different roles by manager Unai Emery this season. Indeed, Emery confirmed earlier this season that Ramsey had gone in to see him to discuss his position in the manager's plans.

The Gunners are in the midst of a drive to reduce the club's huge wage bill - but it is unclear whether budgetary constraints are playing a factor in this instance.

Ramsey currently earns in the region of £110,000-per-week but should realistically expect an improved offer given his standing as one of the club's most important players.
