Former Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham has hinted at a possible return to the Premier League after revealing he would like to 'make noise' in the English top-flight once again.
Abraham joined Roma - who are managed by former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho - on a five-year deal worth £34million in August 2021 after struggling to cement his place in Thomas Tuchel's starting XI.
However, the 24-year-old could return to the English top-flight in the future after claiming he is a 'London boy'. Nevertheless, Abraham has insisted he is focused on winning a trophy at Roma first.
Talking to TalkSPORT, Abraham said: 'For me I’ve always been a player growing up, watching the Premier League and watching football.
When I heard about different teams and certain players I always thought: Wow I want that to be me one day.
'I’m sitting in bed one day on Instagram that Tammy’s been linked with so and so and as a player it makes you feel good.
'As a player it makes you feel like you’re doing something right. For me it’s a nice feeling to be linked. To see your name all over the newspapers etc.
'But for me it’s just doing my business here. Focusing on what I am doing here so I can keep getting linked with all the clubs.'
Abraham, who joined Chelsea aged seven, netted 30 goals in 82 games for Chelsea at first-team level and was top scorer in his two full seasons in the academy.
However, he struggled to make the team after the £97.5m return of centre forward Romelu Lukaku to Stamford Bridge.
Therefore, the 24-year-old forward decided to leave the club to pursue regular first-team football.
He signed for Roma but Chelsea included a buy-back clause in the deal allowing them to re-sign Abraham for £68m from June.
Abraham hinted that a possible return to Chelsea could be on the cards. He said: 'It’s all over the place at the moment. Who knows what the future holds.
'Of course I grew up in England and I’m a London boy so maybe one day I will be back in the Premier League to make noise there.
'But, for me right now, it’s about focusing in Rome. It’s about focusing on doing the best I can and hopefully I can win these guys a trophy, which they haven’t won in many years.'
Roma are reluctant to let Abraham leave and are expected to place a £100million price tag on the striker’s head if other club's come knocking.
Manchester United are in the market for a centre forward this summer, as are Manchester City — although Pep Guardiola’s side are prioritising a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
Clubs from rival European leagues are also said to be considering a move for Abraham.

EPL is now a difficult place for strikers.Toress had to move from city to Barcelona,Timo Werner and Lukaku are struggling at Chelsea,Gabriel Jesus is a bench warmer at city. The reason why Vlahovic decides to stay at Seria A and play for Juventus..Haaland and Mbappe will struggle if they come to EPL....

Don't be a lukaku, Roma is working for you stay there
I was never in favour of going on for such an expensive deal. instead go for cheap and young talents and make them world class. Abraham would have done exactly that with Ziyech, mount and havertz to support him.

👍😊 I just meat Abraham is good and will get better no matter which team he plays for. Just hope he comes Home as he is a Cobham.
yeah no doubt he is good,,, I also just hope he doesn't flop like lukaku when he goes back to Chelsea

why would you even ask that? 🤔

exactly, you have the stats which itself shows, he's good in premiere league and won't be a Lukaku or Werner. he is brilliant and will touch sky heights at Chelsea 💙

look at his stats. he is in top 5 list of strikers in Abramovic era. he already has 30 goals in 80 appearances that too in such young age.

I always wonder, what's better? a 50-60 million average player or 100-120 million peace of unworthy, fickle minded, ungrateful, disloyal and greedy player like Lukaku.

Maybe, but chelsea wont risk it, and what if Abraham has poor form for Chelsea, then does a interview with sky sports to tell his frustrations and how he miss Roma and did not leave properly….

Lukaku failed because of his attitude. Abraham was the top scorer for Chelsea for 2 seasons. He already has 30 goals in 80 appearances. i was never in favour of him leaving. If he comes back, he will make history at Chelsea. Mark my words.

That will be his biggest mistake... Serie A is an institution for strikers... He should stay there at least 3 to 4 years.. And improve himself as a player as a striker.
