Adam Lallana is due to have his medical at Brighton today ahead of signing his three year contract.
The 32-year-old bid an emotional farewell to teammates and staff at Liverpool's Melwood training ground on Friday ahead of the champions' final league game of the season.
Lallana had interest from Leicester City, Everton and Burnley among others but is expected to sign a three year contract with Brighton after being convinced of their project by technical director Dan Ashworth who has pursued him since January.
During his time at Liverpool, Lallana helped secure the Champions League trophy, the Premier League title, the UEFA Super Cup and also the FIFA Club World Cup.
Lallana was presented with a framed memento by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp during Friday's training session, which featured pictures of his finest moments in a Reds shirt.
During his time at the club, the English forward scored 22 goals and created as many assists in his 178 matches for the Premier League giants.
His final interview with the Reds was an emotional one as he departs after making 178 appearances across all competitions.
Lallana will now use his wealth of experience to further Graham Potter's side, who are heading in the right direction.
