Lionel Messi's attack on CONMEBOL and the Copa América has not gone down well with Brazil captain Dani Alves.
Dani Alves has criticised Lionel Messi for being "disrespectful" of Brazil with his controversial comments at the Copa América.
"A friend is not always right just because he's a friend"
Veteran right-back Alves, Messi's team-mate for close to a decade at Barcelona, echoed that view.
"A friend is not always right just because he's a friend. You can say it in the heat of the moment, but I still won't agree," the Brazil captain told SporTV.
"Firstly, he's disrespecting an institution such as the Seleção, in my view.
"Secondly, he's being disrespectful with several professionals who put a lot of things aside so they could be there fighting for a dream.
"I'm a friend who always tells the truth when it's due, and I think he was wrong for saying these things."

Alves was 100% right. Messi has every right to complain for injustice. But he just can't falsely accuse other team or country unless proven. His act was childish.

Remember messi is Argentina's national team captain so he also has a right to speak against injustice in football. Var was not used in the match between the Brazil vs Argentina because the ref was asked to favour the Brazilians against the Argentines

This is the only time Argentina will ever be truly proud of Messi other than winning the Cup because Messi is finally showing he's Argentine It's not about showing up in tournaments and scoring goals and doing Magic and carrying La Albiceleste on your back. It's about the little things like Singing the National anthem and Kissing the badge and most importantly being that voice Argentina wanted a leader who will speak out his mind fearlessly like The Great Diego Maradona and speak out for the people and Represent Argentina Other than Displaying Magic on the pitch Messi hasn't been the ideal leader the Argentines would've wanted he didn't sing national anthem He hardly kissed the Argentine badge and he didn't voice out his opinions He just played Football on the pitch. Now Messi sings the Anthem and voices out his opinions fearlessly in defence of his people Now for the Argentines this is more than winning a cup because this is just what they want from Messi His True Argentine DNA.. No Timidity No Fear Just Strength

These days, the refereeing is very easy, because the var has been setup to help referees regulate games efficiently to avoid conflict, why the game with Brazil and Argentina the referees did not used the var? why are we backing camnobol for their misbehavior? is it because of Messi, other player like Vidal from Chille also said this, let camnobol take note and behave probably, others said Messi should accept defeat when h is defeated, Messi has experienced many crucial defeat with out complaining, so if he complains this time, let the world know that something went wrong. stop criticizing the real GOAT!!
