Andre Onana arrives at Carrington to undergo his medical - as the Inter Milan stopper nears his £43m switch to Man United

Soon-to-be Man United goalkeeper Andre Onana has been spotted at Carrington on Wednesday as he nears his £43m switch from Inter Milan.

The Cameroonian earlier confirmed his imminent move to Erik ten Hag's side, building anticipation among the fanbase as he prepares to undergo his medical at the club.

United have agreed to pay an initial fee of £43.7million for the stopper, plus potentially another £3.4m in add-ons, in a deal worth up to £47.1m.

Onana was earlier seen touching down in Manchester before he and his entourage were snapped arriving at United's training ground on Wednesday afternoon.

The 27-year-old will undergo tests at the club's training base ahead of completion of the eagerly anticipated transfer.

United have been looking for a new No 1 since deciding not to extend De Gea's 12-year career at Old Trafford this summer.

The Spaniard left as a free agent at the end of June, after Ten Hag insisted he wanted a goalkeeper who was stronger with the ball at his feet.

The move will see a reunion between Onana and Ten Hag, who he previously managed during the player's rise from Ajax's youth team to the starting XI.

The 27-year-old quickly made his mark at San Siro in his single season in Italy, helping the side clinch the Coppa Italia, Supercoppa Italiana, and reach the Champions League final.

Ten Hag will hope that Onana's visa is processed at pace, to make sure that the he can join the squad on their upcoming US tour.
