Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny looks set to stay at the club this summer after the club reportedly rebuffed an enquiry from Galatasaray for him.
Elneny was ever-present under Mikel Arteta, who is said to be an admirer of the 29-year-old, last season - although speculation has mounted over a potential exit.
The arrival of Albert Sambi Lokonga will further push Elneny down the pecking order, but, according to football.london, Elneny is poised to remain at the Emirates.
The same report claims that the Egypt international will be afforded game time in this campaign, although multiple clubs approached Arsenal over him.
Galatasaray are thought to have been one of them, with another team from Turkey also a potential suitor for Elneny.
Sky Sports have also reported on the contact from Galatasaray, who have until the end of their transfer window tomorrow to wrap up a deal.
Elneny has just one more year left on his contract in north London, and joined the club from Basel in 2016.
It has been suggested that Arsenal may be open to allowing him to leave in order to collect a small figure now, rather than lose him for free in the future.
Having been on loan for the season at Besiktas in 2019-20, Elneny has already experienced top-flight football in Turkey.
It was reported recently by talkSPORT that a potential switch to the same club has broken down over his salary demands, meanwhile.
Beskitas, the reigning Turkish Super Lig champions, were keen to snap up Elneny, but were unable to match his desired wages.
Elneny was purportedly even given the blessing from Arsenal to allow him to leave, but he now appears set to stay with his current side, until January at least.
In any case, the 79-cap international may have to lower his salary demands to find a move.
