Arsenal women: Kim Little out until January with fractured fibula

Arsenal midfielder Kim Little will be out for a period of ten weeks after x-rays confirmed that she fractured her fibula after a strong tackle from behind from Chelsea’s Drew Spence on Sunday. Spence was booked for the challenge. This confirms the information yesterday from our weekly round-up.

Little has been an integral figure for the Gunners this season, who have won all of their games. She has scored in each of her last 7 matches for club and country and had a goal and an assist at the time of Spence’s challenge.

The Arsenal medical team issued an update this afternoon confirming that she will be out for an estimated period of ten weeks.  She will miss vital games against second place Birmingham in November and a trip to title rivals Manchester City in December.
