Marco Asensio was the match-winner against Ajax on Wednesday night after putting Real Madrid 2-1 ahead in the closing minutes.
The celebration that followed the crucial goal was only initially recognised by his family members in attendance at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
Asensio, whose mother was Dutch, had his father, brother, grandmother, uncles, aunts and cousins in the crowd.
The 23-year-old pretended to spread peanut butter, a food he often eats when in the Netherlands, on a slice of bread.
Asensio has dedicated each of his goals to his mother, Maria Gertruida Margaretha Willemsem, who died in 2011.
Due to his family connections, Asensio has always felt a strong bond with his mother's country and is named after Dutch legend Marco van Basten.
Ruud van Nistelrooy even attempted to persuade the midfielder to switch international allegiances before he'd earned his first senior Spain cap.
The likes of Lucas Vazquez, Gareth Bale and Vinicius Junior are all competing with Asensio for a spot in Santiago Solari's attack and, after this contribution, the Spaniard will have thrusted his name back into the equation.

Well it has been the worst week for Madrid and the result is remarkable, yesterday nothing was played but it was within the possible to have 3 demanding parties in 7 days. The team paints very well, will not have problems to go to the quarterfinals, in the league to give war and in the cup no matter what happens, the team is physically better every day and players are recovering, Vinicius is a separate issue, every day that passes improvement, for his age is a bomb, has 10 or 11 games in a row and apart from attacking that he does a lot and well is not selfish and is always supportive when defending and being Brazilian is very rare, I said it when Lopetegui I did not give him a minute, it's going to be the best investment of Madrid in many years, it's great and a reality as soon as he has started playing.
