Neither team could find a way through as Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid played out a 0-0 draw at Wanda Metropolitano.
Match Report
Real Madrid regained top spot in LaLiga with a goalless draw against bitter rivals Atletico Madrid in Saturday's derby.
Karim Benzema nearly snatched the victory for Madrid with his headed effort 15 minutes from time at Wanda Metropolitano, forcing a great save out of Jan Oblak.
Joao Felix and Saul Niguez went closest for Atletico, who registered just one attempt on target as their winless run in competitive meetings with Madrid stretched to a seventh match.
Both teams ultimately lacked quality in the final third, but it is Madrid - who have now gone three matches without conceding in the league - who will be happier after climbing above surprise package Granada at the summit.

Call me crazy but even though I think overall at their best Real Madrid are a better side no doubt, I genuinely think Chelsea are a better team at passing the ball around cos I noticed the players around Eden Hazard dont really know how to find spaces other than Reallt Benzema. And wheover is left back is appalling as they barely went on the overlap. Eden made a huge mistake leaving us, our style was more suitable for him than Madrids, the players at Madrid are too textbook defined to the roles they played as Ronaldo feeders to the point of forgetting how to exploit spaces etc. If Hazard stayed at chelsea, I think this year he would have had his best year finally alongside the talented youth players that could find his passes etc. What a shame, I've always thought he is a tailor made Barcelona player, was never a Madrid player...
