Saul Niguez knows how to put the ball in the back of the net and has done so in some very important matches for Atletico Madrid, as well as in Spain's recent victories over England and Croatia.
The midfielder scored in both of those UEFA Nations League matches and Diego Simeone will be hoping that he carries this goalscoring form into Los Rojiblancos' upcoming fixtures.
Saul has already scored once this season, blasting a volley past Keylor Navas in extra time of the UEFA Super Cup triumph, but he has not yet scored in LaLiga Santander.
He is the central midfielder with the greatest goalscoring potential, but Atleti will hope to avoid a situation like in the past two years when he didn't score until the eighth week in 2017/18 or until the 16th round in 2016/17.
Atletico will try to help Saul out and to put him in situations where he can score.
This was clear at training on Thursday, as he played in an attacking role and scored the first goal in a mini practice match, arriving from deep and finishing well, like his goal against England.
If he can keep scoring like he has done over the past week, the man from Elche will expect to beat his previous best goalscoring tally of nine, which he managed in the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons.
Last year, by comparison, he scored six times across the campaign.
He'll be excited by the fact that Eibar are the next team up, given that they are one of his favourite victims, as no other Atleti player has scored more often against the Basques than Saul, who has done so three times.

The best players in the world are from South and Latin American countries though. Can't compare Brazil and Argentina to South Africa and Asian countries. That does mean that Barca and RM are dream destinations for the world class SA players, but I doubt Hispanic players are dying to play for the other Spanish teams rather than earning an absolute mint in England. There are also many great players from Europe that aren't native Spanish speakers. It comes down to money, show the money to any south american and they would happily play for your club

"Whistler?" What do you mean by that? Personally I think he's a hero. The stuff he's leaked is really interesting. It's nice getting to read contracts and TPO agreements and seeing just how much a certain club paid for X player and exactly how much that player is earning. Or what percentage of rights to a player his parent club actually holds and how much belongs to third party investors. Stuff like that, you can find it all on his site: https://footballleaks2015.wordpress.com/ Think they mean a whistleblower

Because he's the guy behind Football Leaks, a guy who's leaked a fuck ton of sensitive and confidential documents and contracts, highlighting massive fraud, corruption, conflicts of interest, and tax evasion procedures: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_Leaks Stuff he's leaked has gotten a lot of people and clubs in trouble. For instance, after revealing that FC Twente sold the rights to 6 of their players to Doyen Sports and signed an agreement that let the agency dictate their transfers they got fined nearly a million euros, transfer embargoed and banned from European football for 3 years. Doesn't that make him a whistler? 🤔 "Whistler?" What do you mean by that? Personally I think he's a hero. The stuff he's leaked is really interesting.
