Atletico Madrid have successfully liquidated the entirety of the 202 million euros they owed to the Spanish Treasury.
An agreement between the club and the Tax Agency was reached in March 2013 to repay the amount, which has been fulfilled ahead of schedule.
Atleti had the remainder of the 2019/20 season to finish the payments, but they paid off the last of the total on August 30.
On top of paying their debts, Los Rojiblancos generated 139 million euros in taxes during the last year.
Now, the debt they have remaining is private, with most of the pending payments to do with players and facilities - notably for the Wanda Metropolitano and their academy headquarters.
