Barcelona president Joan Laporta has warned Real Madrid that a big-money move for Kylian Mbappe could disrupt their dressing room.
The Frenchman has long been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu. This could become a reality this summer with Los Blancos attempting to sign him on a free transfer once his PSG contract ends.
While there would naturally be jealous glances from fierce rivals Barcelona, Laporta thinks the finances involved in signing Mbappe could cause problems for Madrid. He told Mundo Deportivo: "Not at all, not at all [are Barcelona envious of Mbappe going to Madrid]. Also, I don't know if they will or won't. We'll see."
Laporta added: "No, I have intuition. They have a problem there. You have to sell a player [if Mbappe arrives], right? Because they are not both going to play in the same place and they are also very marked players. I read about the figures there will be, this disrupts the dressing room for sure. That's not a gift."
Laporta is not the only senior figure at Barcelona to comment on Real Madrid's imminent swoop for Mbappe. Director Deco has confirmed that he is a big fan of the World Cup winner's talents but believes that he will need to be shoehorned into the side.
"No discussion. He is a decisive player, who scores a lot of goals," he said in an interview with Que T'hi Jugues. "If he comes to Real Madrid, they will be stronger, but they will have to solve some tactical problems. But in football, balance is very important."
Mbappe is currently in the middle of another sensational campaign in what could be his final season for PSG. The 25-year-old has 38 goals in just 37 appearances in all competitions - his most recent appearance seeing him score a hat-trick in a 6-2 success against Montpellier.
That has his side positioned 12 points clear at the top of Ligue 1, while they are set to face Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the Champions League next month. PSG boss Luis Enrique was recently asked about a potential exit but remained tight-lipped.
He replied: "Mbappe to Real Madrid? I don't know, no one knows. Only Kylian knows. When all parties involved decide to share the truth and their decisions, we will be there to listen."

What does he know about presidency or leadership? Nothing. All he does is follow Real Madrid stories and look for a way to blame the club for barcelonas predicament. They never focus on their own clubs, I wonder why?
