There’s no doubt that Barcelona greatly missed Gavi’s presence during the second half of last season. He’s one of the most important players in the first team squad, which is why Hansi Flick will be desperate to have him back from injury as soon as possible.
All being well, that will be sooner rather than later. Sport say that Gavi’s recovery from a tore ACL and damaged meniscus is going very well. He’s been back in light training for the last couple of weeks, and he will continue to work his way back to 100% as quickly as he can – without taking any unnecessary risks.
Barcelona have pencilled in Gavi’s return date for October. He’s seen as being in an optimal state for this stage of his recovery, which is why he’s on course to return as early as possible.
Gavi’s return, when it comes, will be incredibly welcome for everyone at Barcelona. There’s no doubt that everyone associated with the Catalan giants will be counting down the days until he is back on a football pitch.

Barcelona will never be the same if we have two Gavi’s on the pitch
