Barcelona will play against Sevilla in the Copa del Rey semi-finals, but this will not be the first time the two sides have faced each other in the tournament.
The last two-legged tie between the two teams was at the quarter-final stage back in 2018/19, when the Blaugrana lost 2-0 at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan but managed to bounce back and clinch qualification in the return leg.
Barcelona grabbed a 6-1 victory at the Camp Nou thanks to a Philippe Coutinho brace and goals from Sergi Roberto, Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Ivan Rakitic.
Rakitic, now back at Sevilla, will face his former team for the second time since leaving last summer, as he started in the Andalusians' 1-1 draw at the Camp Nou last October.
Although it wasn't long ago that the two clubs played each other in the Copa del Rey, their last meeting in the tournament's semi-finals dates all the way back to the 1918/19 season.
Barcelona faced Sevilla twice in the Copa del Rey final in recent years, with the Catalans coming out victorious in both ties in 2015/16 and 2017/18.
The two teams will play each other three times in less than a month, as their LaLiga Santander game at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan is scheduled for the last weekend of February, followed by the second leg of their semi-final tie a few days later.
