Lamine Yamal took the last chance he had to become the youngest scorer in the history of LaLiga, scoring against Granada on the stroke of half-time on Sunday at the age of 16 years and 87 days.

The previous record was held by Fabrice Olinga, who scored in 2012 as a Málaga player against Celta in Vigo. He was then 16 years and 98 days old.

Lamine only had the match against Granada left to try to beat Olinga, a player, by the way, whose subsequent career did not live up to expectations.

Olinga, for his part, had surpassed Iker Muniain, who scored at the age of 16 years and 289 days; and the Athletic player, in turn, surpassed Xisco (Villarreal), who scored at the age of 16 years and 353 days,

Lamine Yamal already became the youngest scorer in the history of the Spanish senior national team in Georgia, surpassing Ansu Fati.
