There were two reasons to celebrate for Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu on Wednesday night, as he revealed after El Clasico.
The Blaugrana reached a sixth successive Copa del Rey final with a 3-0 win over Real Madrid in the semi-final, and that win came on the same day that former president Sandro Rosell was released from jail, making it a special night for Bartomeu.
"I am doubly happy today because we won and they freed Rosell, but it was a strange semi-final," he told El Transistor.
"It was a first half with chances for Madrid but in the second, we could be calm thanks to our goals.
"I haven't spoken to Rosell yet, but I will see him tomorrow because he is my friend and I want him and his family to feel my warmth."
Rosell had been held for two years on preventive detention, having been accused of money laundering.
