Match Events
17'GOAL! Bayern 1-0 Dusseldorf (Sule)
BAYERN HAVE THE LEAD! 1-0! Renato Sanches’ corner is nodded downwards by Kaminski due to pressure from Lewandowski, which puts the ball on the foot of an off-balance Lukebakio. His clearance doesn’t exit the penalty area as Sule does well to intercept before smashing home a finish which Rensing had no chance to stop!
Goal! FC Bayern München 1, Fortuna Düsseldorf 0. Niklas Süle (FC Bayern München) left footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom right corner following a corner.
20'GOAL! Bayern 2-0 Dusseldorf (Muller)
AND MULLER DOUBLES THE ADVANTAGE! 2-0! Two goals conceded in three minutes has really put Dusseldorf to the sword! Boateng has the ball in midfield before looking up and spraying a wonderful pass into the penalty area to meet the run of Muller. Rensing comes flying off his line to make the save, but the forward’s brilliant touch pokes the ball around the goalkeeper and into the back of the net!
Goal! FC Bayern München 2, Fortuna Düsseldorf 0. Thomas Müller (FC Bayern München) right footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom right corner. Assisted by Jérôme Boateng with a through ball.
44'GOAL! Bayern 2-1 Dusseldorf (Lukebakio)
It’s the curse of the commentator as Lukebakio cuts the deficit in half! It’s 2-1 now! Zimmer gets into the penalty area after latching onto an Usami pass, and he looks to pass it across to the striker, which fails at first effort. After an audacious attempted overhead-kick pass, the ball somehow makes it to his team-mate, who smashes it home from close range!
Goal! FC Bayern München 2, Fortuna Düsseldorf 1. Dodi Lukebakio (Fortuna Düsseldorf) right footed shot from the right side of the six yard box to the top right corner.

77' Goal! Bayern 3-2 Dusseldorf (Lukebakio)
LUKEBAKIO HAS THE BALL IN THE NET! 3-2 now to Bayern! Giesselmann’s throughball pushes his team-mate into the Bayern Munich half where there are no defenders whatsoever! It’s a shocking defensive lapse as Lukebakio is allowed to run straight towards the penalty area, which he enters before finishing calmly into the corner! An initial V.A.R check confirms that the striker is onside during the pass, and the visitors are once again back in the match!
90+3' Goal! Bayern 3-3 Dusseldorf (Lukebakio)
UNBELIEVABLE! BAYERN MUNICH COLLAPSE TO A HAT-TRICK FROM LUKEBAKIO! 3-3 AT THE 93RD MINUTE! Hennings lumps a pass forward from the centre-circle which once again finds Lukebakio in complete space in the opposition half! Despite the best efforts of Kimmich to get back and defend, the striker’s pace proves too much and he beats Neuer with a simple finish to earn a point!
Match Report
Dodi Lukebakio scored a stunning hat-trick as Fortuna Dusseldorf secured a 3-3 Bundesliga draw with Bayern Munich on Saturday to pile the pressure onto Niko Kovac.
Defeat to Borussia Dortmund before the international break had added to speculation over Kovac's future and the Bayern boss will come under increasing scrutiny after his side threw away a 3-1 lead against their lowly opponents.
They looked set for a routine win when Niklas Sule and Thomas Muller scored in the space of three first-half minutes, but Fortuna clawed their way back into the game after 44 minutes through Lukebakio.
Muller restored Bayern's two-goal advantage shortly before the hour, but Lukebakio had the final say, scoring breakaway goals in the 77th minute and three minutes into stoppage time to seal a superb point for his side.

That was a horror show. Müller was great. Lewandowski missed so many chances. The defence was sloppy and horrible, gave too much space, lacked concentration and became too lazy at times. We certainly miss Coman, Gnabry, Tolisso, James, Thiago. The league isn't over yet but a top 3 finish would be the best option. We pick up ourselves and start afresh.

Speechless 😶 getting rid of kovac will be on everyone’s mind after this game. Nevertheless our defensive players were totally asleep today. And neuer was not good enough he made no saves.. so is it our defenders .?? Hummels was brought on for muller to make our defensive line stronger but I only saw sule trying to stop their attacker .. We have problems .. it starts with our board being stubborn . Sticking with kovac .. it was good to get their point across to the players , but kovac is simply struggling here at FC Bayern.. I don’t see how he will last any longer then this . maybe one more chance actually.
