Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch has admitted that he’s unhappy with his playing time at the Bundesliga club.
“Training and playing at the top level for a year is beautiful and instructive, although it’s mainly training,” Gravenberch told Voetbal International. “That has to change next season. I really want to play week in week out again.”
Gravenberch has played just 349 minutes in the Bundesliga this season, a figure that doesn’t meet his expectations. “I haven’t spoke to the club’s management yet, so we’ll just wait and see what happens but it’s clear that this role does not match my expectations.”
The 20-year-old joined Bayern Munich from Ajax last season for a reported €18.5m. After struggling to break into Julian Nagelsmann’s side, Gravenberch has played just 727 minutes across 28 games in all competitions for the Rekordmeister this season – he’s since played 42 minutes under Thomas Tuchel.
Just this week, Liverpool have increased their focus on Gravenberch and are currently monitoring the Dutchman’s situation. Having opted out of signing Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, the Premier League side have turned their attentions elsewhere with Gravenberch on their shortlist.
Gravenberch has a contract with Bayern Munich until 2027 and according to FussballTransfers, talks between the entourage of the 20-year-old and Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United have already taken place.

Making dumb decisions and moving from a great club before he was 22 is the only punishment he deserves! Ajax is a great team what difference would it have made if he had stayed??
those three Ajax players are now bench warmers there
