Bayern Munich star Coman in hot water for arriving at training in the wrong CAR

Kingsley Coman has angered Bayern Munich after arriving at training in his Mercedes and not the club-sponsored Audi - and it is set to cost him £43,000 as a fine.

Every player is contractually obliged to use the Audi provided to them for 'business meetings' such as training, matches and sponsorship events, according to Bild, placing Coman in breach of the rules.

The 24-year-old winger was spotted being denied entry to the training ground car park by security and he was therefore made to park his personal white Mercedes out on the street.

Audi own 8.33 per cent of the Bavarian club and their sponsorship is said to be worth in the region of £42.8million a year.

As such, only cars made by Audi and the VW group are permitted for players to drive to and from training and a fine of £43,000 is the punishment for those, like Coman, that violate the rule.

This is not the first time Coman has been caught out for driving the wrong car to training.

Last year the Frenchman was pictured turning up to their Sabener Strasse training base in his £174,000 McLaren instead of his club-provided Audi.

Defending his actions on that occasion, Coman told Bild: 'I would like to apologise to the club and Audi for not having come to training in my company car.

'The reason was a damaged wing mirror on my Audi. Still, that was a mistake, of course I can see that.

'As a reparation, I will visit the Audi plant in Ingolstadt for an autograph hour as soon as possible and bring some attention to the employees.'

It is unlikely that Coman will be able to talk his way out of a fine after Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic took a no-nonsense approach to stopping players turning up in their own cars following a number of incidents.

Coman is highly thought of at Bayern and they are keen to extend his contract as he enters the final two years of his current deal at the end of the season.

But if a deal is not reached then the German club may look at cashing in on their forward so not to allow his value to depreciate and Sportsmail revealed last week that Chelsea are keen should he become available.

Coman, despite his young age, is already one of the most decorated footballers in Europe with 23 major titles to his name from his spells with PSG, Juventus and Bayern.

Manchester City and Manchester United are also admirers of the Frenchman and he has previously expressed a desire to one day play in England.
