Bayern keep in touch with Tuchel for their new head coach research (Kicker)

FC Bayern still stay in touch with Thomas Tuchel for their new head coach research, according to Kicker.

The 46-year-old was already a candidate at Bayern in 2018. But Tuchel then took over Paris Saint-Germain, where he is still under contract until 2021. And Bayern signed Niko Kovac.

Now they have another candidate for head coach position. 

Mauricio Pochettino was fired on Tuesday at Tottenham Hotspur and replaced by Jose Mourinho. Bayern also in 2018 got in touch with the Argentine.

According to information from the kicker, sports director Hasan Salihamidzic was in contact with Pochettino via WhatsApp. Since then Salihamidzic has become a big fan of him.

For the time being, however, Hansi Flick will continue to manage Bayern.

At the annual general meeting of the Bavarians last Friday, the CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed that Flick manage the team as head coach until Christmas.
