Italy is in crisis after failing to reach the World Cup. Coach Gian Piero Ventura is likely to jump or be pushed from his position, although he has not retired yet.
Giuseppe Bergomi, champion of the world with Italy in the Spain 1982 World Cup, commented on the programme Tutti Convocati de Radio 24 that he wants Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho to be offered the job in his stead.
"Italian football needs a deep reconstruction. I ask myself if we are still a great football power or not. In terms of the coach, I think Mourinho would be the correct choice. He might seem like someone who provokes, but some would say the same about Roberto Mancini. In the short term the best thing to do would be to pick an important coach, who can take on two roles," said Bergomi.
However Italians want another coach. The favourite for the job is Carlo Ancelotti, although Gazzetta say his signing is "quite improbable, but not impossible."
The former Madrid and Bayern coach is currently out of work but he wants to continue - albeit at a club. Other options on the table are Massimiliano Allegri, Roberto Mancini and Chelsea's Antonio Conte.

How did he leave them in disarray when Madrid won the UCL immediately after he left and Chelsea won the prem. You(being a Barca fan) won't admit it but Jose caused problems for Pep, anyone who extisted at that time and actually followed football would know that
True he did cause problems. Poke Tito in the eye and tell players to fight physical fight as the only way to defeat Barca. They won UCL but not with Mou. Your argument seem to be other coaches win with Mou's team but why could he not win with the teams himself? Because he was disruptive. Zidane did not need to win La Liga or UCL by organizing a riot squad. Trust that this is not about Barca fan or Real fan. This is about football.
