Federico Bernardeschi maintains Italy “really deserved the victory” in their 1-1 draw with Ukraine. “Vastly improved from last time.”
The Juventus man had opened the scoring at Marassi in this evening’s friendly, but it was cancelled out soon after by Ruslan Malinovskyi.
“It’s a pity we didn’t win, as we really deserved to get the victory. We created six or seven clear chances, took the lead and then conceded at their first opportunity,” Bernardeschi told Rai Sport.
“We played football, did well and just didn’t take our chances. We played football and enjoyed it, so I feel we deserved to win in every way.
“Perhaps we just lack some solidity in front of goal, Pyatov made two or three big saves in the first half.
“We are here to win every game, we know it’s not easy, but we try. I saw an Italy performance that was vastly improved from last time, the Coach has some great ideas and we have to work on them.”

Bit early for that, nice knee jerking My knees were jerking vigorously before we even played out first match under him buddy. I just don't rate him as a coach - he's been made to look better than he is in the past by having some world class squads at his disposal. I don't like his style, which I think is negative, on and off the pitch. And I think he's tactically limited.

It’s not, it’s a friendly. Italy play Poland next which is in the Nations Cup.

The problem is that there are literally no glimmers of hope, everyone is playing below par and Mancini has several games now under his belt. With the quality in the squad you cant be playing like this. It's the period since the 0-0 with Sweden.

I mean whatever, it's literally just been a bunch of friendlies in a rebuilding period. And also fuck ventura Ventura wasn't responsible for any of the 8 games in question.

Italy bring in Conte back, that's the last man who'll bring Italy back to the level it deserve, and he did good work in 2016, he can do it better with young prospects Italy has to offer, do whatever it takes to convince him.

Napoli game total bed shitting, Roma corner kick goal not much to do, Cagliari buildup mistake, same as Chievo, against empoli penalty i think, the others i don’t recall. We dominated all games and deserved de win (Napoli came back strong tho, 50/50 that one), in fact the 3-3-1 record proves it. Defense can improve but its rock solid against attacks!
