Our tipster expects the goals to flow when Jurgen Klopp's Premier League leaders make the trip south to take on Chris Hughton's Seagulls on Saturday

Premier League leaders Liverpool travel to take on Brighton on Saturday afternoon.

The Reds lost their opening fixture of 2019, when they were beaten by Manchester City - a first league defeat of the campaign - which was followed by an FA Cup third round exit against Wolves at Molineux on Monday night.

Liverpool, then, will be determined to return to winning ways but they will find a stiff test awaits at Amex Stadium, where the Seagulls have lost just one of their last seven matches on home soil.

The Seagulls are chalked up as a 9/1 (10.0) chance with bet365 to deliver a further blow to the Reds' title aspirations whilst the visitors are 2/7 (1.29) favourites to pick up three points from this one.

The odds compilers offer 9/2 (5.50) that Saturday's showdown on the south coast ends in stalemate.

Top scorer Glenn Murray was rested for Brighton's FA Cup win at Bournemouth but will surely return to the fold against the Reds. Goalkeeper Mat Ryan will miss this match as he is on international duty with Australia at the Asian Cup.

Joel Matip and Joe Gomez are out, while Dejan Lovren is a massive doubt after limping out of Monday's FA Cup loss. Virgil van Dijk also missed that game with a minor knock but trained fully on Thursday. Fabinho or Ki-Jana Hoever could partner him in defence.

Brighton have scored in each of their 10 league matches on home soil so far this season and it is worth noting that only Manchester City have managed more league goals than Liverpool this term.

The stage is seemingly set, then, for plenty of goalmouth action when these two teams lock horns and bet365 offer a tempting 11/10 (2.10) that there are goals at both ends, whilst the same firm go 4/6 (1.67) that there are more than two goals scored.

Better value, though, could lie in backing more than three goals to be scored. The 7/4 (2.75) selection would have landed in five of the Reds' last six league wins.

Odds correct at time of writing. Please gamble responsibly.
