Bologna will be without Takehiro Tomiyasu for at least a month after the right-back suffered a thigh injury with Japan.
Tomiyasu picked up the problem during Japan’s 6-0 win against Mongolia in 2022 World Cup qualifying last week.
Now, Bologna have announced that tests showed “a grade-II injury” to the 20-year-old’s left thigh, “with a recovery time of 30-40 days.”
Tomiyasu had been an ever-present for Bologna since arriving from Sint-Truiden over the summer, appearing in all eight of their competitive games.
However, the Rossoblu - who have already lost Gary Medel - risk doing without the stopper until the end of November.
