Diego Simeone was full on energy on the touchline as Atletico Madrid defeated Liverpool 1-0 on Tuesday, but he won't be able to repeat those antics this weekend.
That's because the Argentine must serve a touchline ban for yellow card accumulation in the LaLiga Santander game against Villarreal on Sunday.
As such, assistant coach German Burgos will take charge.

There are players that run up and down the pitch. There are refs that run up and down the pitch. Then you have guys like Simeone and Conte who dont even need to but still up and down the touchline telling their teams to sort themselves. The 1 thing I miss about Conte was his passion and make no mistake, Simeone is currently from the same cloth. Its these traits that make these 2 men such great managers. Without Simeone, I think Atletico may not even be a 3rd place team. The man is such a special coach when it comes to personality.....

Much needed rest for Simeone. I'm surprised he didn't pull his hamstring and damaged his vocal cord with all those antics during the match against Liverpool.
