Forever a team player, Cristiano Ronaldo says he and his Manchester United colleagues will do “everything in our power to keep the good vibes running” this season.
The 36-year-old made his second debut for the club last Saturday in the Premier League match against Newcastle United at Old Trafford. In fitting style, he scored twice in a superb 4-1 victory that produced one of the great atmospheres in recent Theatre of Dreams history.
Indeed, the club is buzzing right now following an excellent summer in which Tom Heaton, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and CR7 all joined the squad to bolster our chances of success.
With United top of the league after four matches played and, more importantly, with a group of players who are more determined than ever to win trophies, now is an exciting time to be Red.
Next up for United is this evening’s Champions League group-stage opener against Young Boys and the team arrived in Switzerland on Monday, feeling focusing and excited to play.
After a pre-match workout at the Wankdorf Stadium in Bern, wearing our new European training range, Ronaldo used his official Instagram account to share this message of gratitude with fans.
“Our minds are already set on tomorrow’s Champions League game,” Cristiano wrote. “But I can’t help but thanking our fans for the wonderful reception they gave me and the lads at Old Trafford.
“Amazing chemistry and amazing support, making our job a little easier. We’ll do everything in our power to keep the good vibes running!”
