Celtic look set to lose promising forward Cameron Harper with the 19-year-old set for a return to the United Stated with New York Red Bulls.
The starlet is highly thought of at Celtic Park and had appeared in the recent Scottish Premiership clash against Hibernian.
However, according to The Sun, Harper is now set to return to his place of birth and place on a MLS roster.
The transfer window in the States does not open until February 10 and the Celtic youngster had been in talks over a pre-contract move, with his current deal expiring this summer.
However, Red Bulls have accelerated their interest, and it appears that Harper will move in time to begin the season in the US, which begins in early March.
It will be the second high-profile youngster Celtic have lost this year already, with Jeremie Frimpong having left for Bayer Leverkusen during the winter window.
Celtic have also seen promising youngsters leave in recent months in the form of Liam Morrison and Barry Hepburn - who both joined Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
Goalkeeper Liam Hughes joined Liverpool on deadline day, while Josh Adam left for Manchester City last summer.
