The departure of Roman Abramovich and the arrival of Todd Boehly isn't the end of the upheaval at Chelsea.
The new owner wants to transition the club from the old regime and, one by one, those closest to Abramovich are leaving Stamford Bridge.
Last week it was Abramovich's right-hand woman for more than a decade, Marina Granovskaia, while now it is the turn of Chelsea great Petr Cech. The former goalkeeping legend has announced that he will step down as technical advisor at the club on June 30.
"With the club under new ownership, I feel now is the right time for me to step aside," the 40-year-old said.
"It has been a huge privilege to perform this role at Chelsea for the past three years.
"I am pleased that the club is now in an excellent position with the new owners, and I am confident of its future success both on and off the pitch."
Boehly has thanked Cech, who made 493 appearances as a Chelsea player and won four Premier Leagues, one Champions League, one Europa League, four FA Cups, three League Cups and two English Super Cups.
"Petr is an important member of the Chelsea family," the club's chairman and co-controlling owner said.
"We understand his decision to step away and thank him for his contributions as an advisor and his commitment to the club and to our community. We wish him the best."
Maxwell is the possible replacement
Granovskaia's departure has left a void that Chelsea are trying to fill. Boehly is on the hunt for a new sporting director and the chosen one could be Maxwell Scherrer Cabelino Andrade.
The former Ajax, Inter, PSG and Barcelona player, according to Fabrizio Romano, is on Todd Boehly's list of three to four candidates to come in.
Also among the Blues' options is Michael Edwards. The man behind Jurgen Klopp's and Liverpool's rise to prominence will leave Anfield this summer.

Cech Check out from Chelsea.
If you step down as you say,Chelsea will still be Chelsea with his powerful and rich owner. He won’t be crying for your departure.

Am am stepping down soon as a Chelsea fan if the new owners failed to sign players till the end of the summer transfer window.
It means you're not a loyal football fan, we've supported Utd for 6 years without a trophy and we don't have soo much hope next season but we still love more than anything else. Teams go thru tough times and surely they overcome however long it may take.
