Chelsea launched a swap bid for AC Milan attacker Rafael Leao last summer, it has been reveal.
Chelsea made an attempt for Leao last summer after Todd Boehly and ClearLake's takeover.
The Athletic says Chelsea were willing to include two players, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic, in their proposal.
Chelsea rated Leao at a value of €100m, while the Rossonero were demanding €150m to part with the Portugal international.
In the end, the Rossonero were able to successfully fight off Chelsea's attentions.
Leao penned a new five-year deal with Milan last week, which now includes a buyout clause of €175m.
