Coquelin eyes comeback

Marcelino already has one name cemented on his team-sheet for the Europa League semi-final clash with Arsenal: Francis Coquelin.

The Frenchman is eyeing a comeback against his former club, and he fully trained on Wednesday after a knock to his ankle that forced him to leave the session prematurely.

Having missed the first leg of the tie due to an inopportune yellow card against Villarreal, the Spanish coach was put in a difficult position at the Emirates Stadium.

He attempted a tactical shift, but it ended up being a fiasco as Los Che slipped to a 3-1 defeat, despite taking the lead in the first half.

Coquelin passed a fitness test on Thursday morning. He is feeling no pain in his ankle and will partner Dani Parejo in midfield at Mestalla against Arsenal.
