Cristiano Ronaldo has the Golden Boot in his reach

Atalanta may consider themselves unlucky to have left Turn without all three points on Saturday evening, yet the two penalties that Cristiano Ronaldo scored on the night has put him within reach of the European Golden Boot.

Juventus have six matches left to play in Serie A this term, and Ronaldo is just six goals shy of the current leader, Robert Lewandowski.

Winning the award would be the fifth such success of the former Manchester United forward's career, and he has been in blistering form since Italian football returned from the COVID-19 enforced break.

In the six matches played in that period, Ronaldo has scored seven goals although four of them have been from the penalty spot.

Ronaldo hasn't lifted the European Golden Boot since the 2014/15 season, when he scored 48 goals for Real Madrid.

In the last three seasons, Ronaldo hasn't even made it into the top three goalscorers in Europe
