After Luka Modric had dethroned Cristiano Ronaldo as UEFA's best player in Europe, Katia Aveiro, Ronaldo's sister, showed her displeasure.
Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo's agent, had already suggested that it was ridiculous the Croatian had won the award.
A post on Instagram from Aveiro compared the games played, the assists, the goals and the prizes given between her brother and Real Madrid midfielder, Modric, to illustrate her point.

Ronaldo sister should keep quiet over there. ...in 2013 when Bayern won the champions league and Ronaldo didn't win anything with Madrid only the Copa De ray Ribery had a great season in the champions league and the league with Bayern and he deserves to win the Ballon d'or he didn't win it and they gave it to Ronaldo who didn't win anything and he Ronaldo and his family were happy now that he think he deserves to win it and didn't get it he see how it feel when you know you deserve to win something and it's giving to someone else....Ronaldo and his family and agent show keep quiet over there and know that Modric also deserve it and if he win it doesn't make Modric a better player than Ronaldo. ....Messi was 5th and that doesn't mean those three players in were on the top 3 are better than him....

Luka modric also equally deserves this award. Luka modric won the award but even Cristiano Ronaldo and Salah also equally deserves to grab that award. Everyone gave their best to their teams and no one has less chance of winning but luka modric won. So, we all have to accept it. Congratulations to luka modric.

Ronaldo is encouraging all the negative comments against a deserved award to Modric. it can't be him all alone. he played with Modric and knows his quality. in the last club world cup championship Modric was voted the best player so as in the last world cup and Ronaldo was in those competition. He should not expect to win all the time anni expected him to have congratulated Modric as they all had done in the past for him.

Well, it's not all goal and assist. The way modric control midfield is astonishing. Even Liverpool midfielder at the final is not so comfortable with the ball because afraid of losing it. But modric is comfortable with the ball and setting the tempo of the Madrid play.

people are mistaken things here,fifa and UEFA are different bodies altogether,fifa is for world cup activities whilst UEFA is for champions league and the league games.so let's not add what luka did at the world cup to what he did in the champions league and la liga and say modric deserve the award than cr7
