Manchester United may have had a host of players out injured, but they still earned a valuable win away to Crystal Palace.
Match Events
33' GOAL! Crystal Palace 0-1 Man Utd (Lukaku)
It's terrific play by Shaw down the left wing, he drives inside, beats four Palace players and forces them out of their positions, opening the space for Lukaku as the ball comes to him.
The striker curls the ball around Tomkins and into the bottom corner, with Guaita rooted to the spot.
52' GOAL! Crystal Palace 0-2 Man Utd (Lukaku)
Another opening from a set piece that Palace have failed to deal with. The corner is intially cleared, but it comes straight back in, with Lindelof flicking the ball onto Lukaku at the far post, who uses his strength to ease Schlupp out of the way and then loop the ball over the Palace keeper and into the top corner.
Lindelof managed to keep the ball alive, spotting Lukaku unmarked at the far post and the centre-back did well to head it across to the striker.
66' GOAL! Crystal Palace 1-2 Manchester United (Ward)
It's poor defending by United, they fail to deal with a ball into box and Townsend works it out wide to Schlupp who drives forward and whips a great ball towards the far post, which Ward dives in to meet and he powers his header into the back of the net.
82' GOAL! Crystal Palace 1-3 Manchester United (Young)
Lukaku and Pogba link up well in the middle, just outside the box and Young gets forward on the overlap, Pogba plays him through on goal and the skipper fires the ball underneath the goalkeeper and the Palace defenders on the line and into the back of the net.
Match Report
Romelu Lukaku ended a nine-match goal drought with a pair of goals as a depleted Manchester United beat Crystal Palace 3-1 to secure a club-record eighth successive away victory across all competitions.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was without a host of first-team regulars due to injuries, but Lukaku stepped up having been given a rare opportunity to lead the line, his double playing a part in downing a spirited Palace side.
United just about shaded an even first half and went into the break ahead thanks to a fine Luke Shaw-inspired Lukaku goal in the 33rd minute.
Lukaku got his second of the day just after the break and, although Joel Ward pulled one back in the 66th minute, Ashley Young struck late on to end the hosts' hopes and keep United just a point behind fourth-placed Arsenal, who thrashed Bournemouth 5-1.

Talking points 1.Shaw is improving game by game both Defensively and attacking wise and could be on his way to one of the best LB's in the world in the coming years 2.Lindelof and Smalling partnership is becoming really good too and that vegan diet is really helping Smalling 😅 3.Sanchez just like always there is nothing new 4.Lukaku is not finished he just needed more time and a little support which he got today and he could regain his goal scoring form

It doesn't matter what kind of players you give him Soskjear will still win the match.. 3 players subbed in the first half and savaged a point against the best Liverpool had, over 6 of his best starters injured and not present for the game and he still managed to make a very strong team and win against a good palace side. Soskjear deserves this permanent united job, what else does he need to do to prove it?

You know what I'm thinking Ole is doing at United? He's not only reviving the club back like their glory years but he's making his squad revive again to their top form and if we remember correctly people were writing off many players at Man United until Mourinho reign and now look at that same squad and look at what incredible things they're doing on the pitch.

If it was Mourinho we would've lost that game, and he'll moan to the press about his injured players and lack of quality talent on the bench.
