In the present era david silvA he's undoubtedly one of the best midfielders in PL. I would tag him indispensable to City. His ability to control the game is second to none in PL, moreover he does that beautifully in the opponent's half thereby bringing more attacking intend from fullbacks His contribution to the team's success has been in the limelight lately and he has been receiving due credit for it with his performances standing out from the best midfielders available at their disposal and is being increasingly recognised for his support in key areas but players like him never played to hog the limelight but to play for the love of the sport itself and I am sure everybody acknowledges that

Best midfielder in the prem and possibly world after De Bruyne and Kante for me. He's so reliable and always gives his 100% not to mention he's an excellent passer and can dribble and score on the off chance that the team need someone to step up. He has been integral to the current City sides wins up until now. They wouldn't have done it without him.... underrated as he played his younger years in a time when Xavi, Iniesta, Xabi Alonso, Fabregas all played so he never got the ratings he deserved.... one of my top 5 favourite players. Rating wise (unbiased): Pace - 3 Dribbling - 4 Shooting - 4.5 Passing - 5 (no question) Physicality - 3.5 Tenacity - 5 (always got the heart of a winner)

Silva has been great since hes arrived in this country. The media said he wouldnt survive due to his size. How wrong they were, Silva has an average rating of 8 every week. He plays great football, and then goes home to his family. Even with the illness of his son he still produced the goods. He will be a huge loss once he hangs his boots up. Even Spain put him up on a pedestal on his retirement, I cant remember any other professional getting that recognition in the game as what Spain did for him. It amazes me, that people are only talking about him now.
