Football is often a reflection of mood and right now Real Madrid are in complete euphoria. There is harmony, happiness and good understanding among the squad, though Carlo Ancelotti and his coaching staff are remaining calm.
The Italian knows that the world of football is led by results, which almost always come from the result of hard work like the club have been putting in since July.
The before and after of the derby against Atletico Madrid made it clear that there has been an increase in optimism and happiness, with gestures, details and looks from players showing that the players know want their coaches want from them.
Before games, Davide Ancelotti usually gives a brief speech to some players, and Carlo's son and assistant showed Karim Benzema some movements he should make before the derby.
His hand gestures made it clear, telling the Frenchman to drop off, search for the ball, open up wide and then wait for the ball to come and shoot.
That was just what happened for the first goal, as designed in Davide's laboratory and executed by elite players.
Carlo follows everything that goes on at the training ground and he likes to delegate, allowing Davide to take charge of preparing for games, analysing rivals and drawing up plans for movements to exploit their weaknesses.
He joins Francesco Mauri, Luis Llopis and the rest in coordinating work across the technical staff and supporting Ancelotti.
They have daily meetings and analyse everything that goes on for Real Madrid and their rivals, both before and after fixtures.
They prepare training sessions which Ancelotti then supervises and shares his opinion on, but it is always Davide, Mauri and Antonio Pintus who lead the way on the training pitch.
Often, it is those three who are vocal on the touchline.
Davide recently gave a speech to coaches who passed UEFA's coaching course, sharing Real Madrid's way of work and how they design players' movements on the grass.
Ancelotti meanwhile, studies his players, takes decisions and makes time to talk to his players, putting an arm around any player who looks to be low on confidence.
The squad aren't concerned about the ongoing meetings and speeches, nor by the videos that the coaches prepare for them.
They learn from them and enjoy taking in new ideas, which they feel are perfectly balanced alongside work on the pitch.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am please to inform you that no real Madrid player is currently injured. Ceballos trained with his teammates today. The whole squad is fit and ready to go. All hail Pintus, I can feel at least a trophy this season. Hala Madrid!
