While Palmeiras were playing at the Club World Cup, they were simultaneously closing in on arguably the year's biggest signing.
Former Atletico Madrid and Chelsea forward Diego Costa is set to join the Brazilian side after he left Los Rojiblancos for personal reasons.
The striker will sign for Palmeiras on a two-year deal and will earn two million euros for each campaign he plays there, making him one of the best paid players in Brazilian football.
It will be Costa's first experience in South American football, having started his professional career in Portugal.
Palmeiras are the current Copa Libertadores champions after beating Santos in Rio de Janeiro.

This Guy should just retire and Enjoy the Money he has already Made.
