Diego Simeone rips into ex-wife Carolina Baldini for 'breaking family code'

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has furiously slammed his ex-wife and the mother to three of his children for breaking family codes after speaking about their split.

Carolina Baldini openly revealed on Argentine television the decision to split after 20 years of marriage was her decision but insisted their marriage ended on good terms.

Simeone, however, tied the knot for a second time with Argentine model and TV host Carla Pereyra in 2019 - moving on from Baldini.

He was not pleased with the way his ex-wife spoke about him in an interview, as she said: 'The separation was on good terms. There is always something, I'm not going to lie to you.

'But the truth is that it was very friendly. I was the one who made the decision to separate us.'

Simeone furiously responded, declaring he has 'no more patience' for Baldini after she 'broke strong family codes' by speaking about their split 12 years on.

Simeone told La Nation: 'I'm tired of her going out to talk after 15 years.

'Even more so knowing that I never talked about everything that happened and the damage it caused.

'She continues to speak as if no one had memory. I got tired of trying to take care of my children and protect them of the environment.

'There is no turning back. She broke strong family codes and I have no more patience.'

La Nation also revealed that the 52-year-old plans to go to court in an effort to stop his ex-wife and mother of his three eldest children Giovanni, Gianluca and Giuliano, from continuing to speak about him and his family in interviews.

This news comes just off the back of Simeone confirming that will remain at Atletico Madrid next season, despite the club's disappointing campaign in both the LaLiga and the Champions League.

He has been in charge at the Spanish club since 2011, winning the league title twice during this period.
