Dinner with John Terry? That'll cost you £500... and it's £100 for an autograph

Chelsea legend John Terry is charging fans £500-a-head to have dinner with him and £100 for an autograph on his one-man tour.

The former England captain appeared in Basingstoke on Friday night and will appear in Bournemouth next month, London in November and Birmingham in January.

General admission tickets begin at £25 for the former defender's 'An Evening with John Terry' event but fans must pay an extra £100 to get an autograph.

Under the 'sponsorship package', a table for 10 people costs £5,000 and they will get the opportunity to dine with Terry as well as getting an item of their choice signed and a photograph.

As first reported by the Daily Telegraph, the £5,000 'sponsorship packages' in Bournemouth and London have already sold out - though it remains for the Birmingham date.

Platinum packages at £150 for London and Birmingham have also sold out - these include a meet and greet with Terry, a picture and an autograph, as well as front row seats and dinner.

The cheaper gold packages include a picture but not a signature, though this can be purchased as an extra for £100.

Everyone in attendance gets the chance to participate in a question and answer session with the former Chelsea skipper, as well as enter a raffle and auction on the night.

Promotor KnockOut Events & Memorabilia said on their Facebook page: 'This will be the FIRST TIME EVER John Terry has taken part in ANY events like this so we are bringing him to 4 amazing venues across the country.

'We are positive that all four of these events WILL SELL OUT in a very short space of time so make sure you get your tickets today and secure your seat to avoid disappointment.'

The publicity does not say where the proceeds from the four events are going.

The Telegraph reported that Terry, 42, who return to Chelsea as an academy coach in July, answered a question about rumours linking him to Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab at last Friday's Basingstoke event.

'I'm not going to be manager over there. It's for a different role and I'll be based in the UK. It's very early doors.'

It is believed Terry's role will involve speaking to players to convince them to join Al-Shabab.

The following night, Terry paid emotional tribute to the late Gianluca Vialli after he scored for a Chelsea Legends team against ex-Bayern Munich players at Stamford Bridge.

The charity match, which raised funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and the Chelsea Foundation, saw Terry point to the sky in memory of former team-mate Vialli after finding the net. Chelsea won 4-0.
