Dublin slams the Man United squad after their 'HORRENDOUS' displays this season

Former striker Dion Dublin was heavily critical of the Manchester United squad and questioned if they even have something to play for against Brighton.

The Red Devils have had a season to forget as they currently sit sixth in the table and look set to miss out on Champions League football next season.

Dublin claimed United's players will be embarrassed following their 'horrendous' performances this term.

Speaking on Sky Sports ahead of the game against the Seagulls, Dublin said: 'I genuinely don't know what they are playing for. If I was in this position I'd just want to personally give something back to the fans. I'd want to give blood sweat and tears to the fans.

'Man United's squad of players is a very good squad of players and should be a top three finish.

'The way the season has gone for them is horrendous, and their performances have been horrendous.

'I'm going off Man United's own standards and I think they'll be embarrassed by the way things have gone if they have any pride in themselves which they will do.'

United have come in for huge criticism this season and a number of their top stars simply have not performed as expected.

The likes of Paul Pogba, Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford have not been operating at anywhere near their best and a clear-out is expected in the summer.

Ralf Rangnick has failed to turn the club's fortunes around following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November and it was confirmed last month that Ajax boss Erik ten Hag will takeover this summer.

United look destined for life without Champions League football next season and are on route for their worst ever league finish in the Premier League.

After Saturday's game against Brighton, they will have just one game remaining as they take on Crystal Palace on the final day of the season.
