EPL 20/21 season ends: Liverpool & Chelsea secure UCL spot as Leicester and West Ham will be in the Europa League next season.

Liverpool and Chelsea join Manchester City and Manchester United in the Champions League places on the final day of the Premier League season. Meanwhile Leicester and West Ham will be in the Europa League next season, Arsenal end in 8th place.

Liverpool and Chelsea sealed qualification for next season's qualification on a dramatic final day's action in the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp's side knew that a win was likely to earn them a place in the top four and they were the first contender to go ahead, with Sadio Mane opening the scoring against Crystal Palace at Anfield.

Leicester, who started the day in fifth place, stayed where they were at half time, when they were being held 1-1 by Tottenham at home.

Bertrand Traore gave Aston Villa the lead over Chelsea just before the break, meaning Leicester needed a single goal to move into fourth place above the Blues.

Jamie Vardy's second penalty of the game swung the pendulum in Leicester's favour, as Chelsea fell further behind to an Anwar El-Ghazi spot-kick.

Sadio Mane's second goal virtually secured Liverpool's qualification with around 15 minutes to play against Palace, while Leicester started to crumble.

Kasper Schmeichel's own goal saw the Foxes slip to fifth, with two Gareth Bale goals enough for Tottenham to earn all three points at the King Power Stadium.

Chelsea, who ended with ten men thanks to Cesar Azpilicueta's red card, were fortunate to stay fourth despite their disappointing defeat.

Thomas Tuchel's side will play Champions League football next season, though the final against Manchester City in Porto comes first.
