Argentina's goalkeeping hero Emiliano Martinez has continued to taunt Kylian Mbappe on his birthday by holding a baby doll with the French star's face on it during Argentina's World Cup victory parade around Buenos Aires.
To make matters worse, Martinez in fact held the Mbappe doll aloft while stood next to the 24-year-old's PSG team-mate Lionel Messi as the pair celebrated Argentina's penalty shootout win against France.
Argentina's players, including Golden Glove winner Martinez, spent the day parading the World Cup trophy around the capital before it was abandoned over security issues, with fans filmed jumping onto the bus.
Martinez was hugely influential in Argentina's triumph, making a crucial last-gasp save at the end of extra-time to deny Randal Kolo Muani before denying Kingsley Coman in the penalty shootout to inspire La Albiceleste to their first World Cup success since 1986.
But it's not the first time that Martinez has taunted Mbappe - who somehow came out on the losing side of a World Cup final despite scoring a hat-trick.
The Aston Villa keeper brutally mocked Mbappe during Argentina's dressing room celebrations by calling for a minute's silence for the French striker.
It came even though the 30-year-old was seen as one of the first people to console Mbappe following France's gut wrenching defeat.
The pair were also all smiles when they were pictured together as Golden Glove and Golden Boot winners - alongside Golden Ball winner Lionel Messi and Young Player of the Tournament Enzo Fernandez.
But since the pair departed the Lusail Stadium turf, Martinez has seemingly had it in for the French star.
It is most likely related to the PSG forward's comments six months before the tournament. Mbappe said: 'The advantage we have in Europe is that we play among ourselves with high-level matches all the time, such as the Nations League.
'When we arrive at the World Cup, we are ready, where Brazil and Argentina do not have this level in South America. Football is not as advanced as in Europe. That's why at the last World Cups, it's always the Europeans who win.'
Martinez responded to the claims ahead of the final and said: 'He said that the level of South America is lower than the European level because he did not play there.
'If you do not have the experience then it is difficult to comment, but nothing was wrong with what he said. They know we are a world class team and they respect us for that.'
The Argentine goalkeeper - who started dancing when Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni missed his penalty - also made a lewd gesture when he was awarded Golden Glove trophy.
He was pictured making a rude gesture with the gong as he held it over his private parts.
Martinez has since explained that he did it because French fans were booing him during Argentina's thrilling final win.

Kylian Mbappe spoke rubbish about South American teams but his fans won't remember they'll just insult Martinez for defending the entire South American continent whereby players like Neymar and Messi had no balls to discipline Mbappe. Big up to Martinez

Based on your logic, Croatia shouldn’t be praised because their players all play outside of Croatia. There’s a reason why there are so many Argentine and Brazilian players in Europe and not Chinese, Indian, or American for example. They have good academies in South America.
Okay, before the discussion devolves. We’re discussing Mbappes point of view. Which does hold some merit. Im working of this quote, if there’s another let me know. “South American teams have disadvantages because they don’t have the same level of competition as European teams. Argentina and Brazil don’t play matches at a high level to get to the World Cup. Football is not as advanced as it is in Europe.” Now is see two interpretations. The Leagues in Europe are the more advanced, and South American players come to Europe to develop and become the great players that they are. Which is unfortunately proven by players like Messi and Neymar. So that much is true, The next one, is best explained and kind of funny, but I think he considers South America to be a farmers league situation where Argentina and Brazil don’t have any real competition besides themselves to qualify for the World Cup. And he’s also not exactly wrong, I’ve heard the argument that playing in South America is difficult because of weather conditions and altitude, but those difficult environment attributes doesn’t mean that their football is more difficult or advanced. Just more uncomfortable at best.

Your comment is OK until the last part. I keep wondering who taught many of you that until you insult someone you haven't said something. That's shambolic.
