It is a time of change at Juventus as it was an emotional farewell to the club's supporters for two of their longest serving players.
Giorgio Chiellini was given a standing ovation by Juventus fans as he was substituted on the 17th minute - representing the number of seasons he spent at the Bianconeri.
The Italian then handed the captain's armband to Paulo Dybala who was later visibly distraught after playing his last home game for the club in their 2-2 draw with Lazio.
As Chiellini was hooked off the entire stadium rose to their feet and gave him an incredible ovation as he walked off the pitch.
The 37-year-old embraced his team-mates while Lazio players also joined in on the applause.
After being taken off, Chiellini did a lap of the stadium while the game was going on, as he signed autographs for supporters.
Dybala, who has spent seven seasons at the club, was taken off in the 78th minute of the game in what was an emotional evening for the Argentine playmaker.
His contract is set to expire at the end of June and, after seemingly reaching an agreement in December, the club withdrew the offer and preferred to let him leave as a free agent.
The 28-year-old had wanted to continue in Turin and only announced in the last few days that he would leave the club.
Fans are not happy with his exit, as Football Italia reported that every time president Andrea Agnelli or the club's directors appeared on the screens, they were jeered loudly, pinning the blame on them for Dybala's exit.
Less had been made by Juventus about the Argentine's departure than Chiellini, but manager Max Allegri also gave him his moment to receive a round of applause.
After the game players threw Dybala into the air and his emotion came out as he was brought to tears having played his last game in a Juventus shirt.
'It is difficult to find the right words to greet you, there are so many years and so many emotions involved, all together,' said the Argentina international in an emotional Instagram post on Sunday.
'I thought we would have been together even more years, but fate puts us on different paths.
'I will never forget everything you made me experience, every game, every goal.
'With you I grew up, I learned, I lived and I dreamed. It has been seven years of magic, 12 trophies and 115 goals that no one will take away from us. Never.
'Thank you for supporting me in difficult times. Thanks to those who have accompanied me over the years: from the first to the last, from the fans to the people who work within the club, everyone, coaches and teammates, employees and managers.
'Wearing this important jersey together with the captain's armband has been one of the greatest pride of my life, which I hope to show to my children and grandchildren someday.'
Euro 2020 winner Chiellini was part of nine Serie A winning teams and made 559 appearances for the club.
Dybala made 291 appearances and was part of league title winning teams.
Chiellini has been rumoured with a move to the MLS while Dybala has previously been linked with Manchester United and Tottenham.
