Some of Diego Maradona's children have left emotional messages in tribute to their late father on social media.
Dalma Maradona is his eldest daughter and, one of two that Diego had with Claudia Villafane.
Dalma posted her message on Instagram together with a photo of her as a child playing with her father's socks as he sits in Napoli training gear.
"I've always been very scared of my death but today I'm not anymore... Because I know that that will be the moment that I see you again and hug you again! I miss you already, dad!" wrote Dalma.
"I will always love and defend you and I'm grateful for the life we shared.
"Wait for me there and get practicing Y COMO ES EL so that we can sing it together again when I see you...Well...You'll sing and I'll shout! I love you dad!"
Meanwhile, Diego junior also took to Instagram to publish a farewell to his father.
"I was so happy with you...you cannot even imagine, just seeing you beside me I felt invincible!!!!" began Diego Junior.
"How I'm going to miss sitting down with you to watch a game of our beloved Napoli. And mu children? What will they do without such a loving grandfather?
"I promise they will always be on your side, they will always defend you and be filled with pride talking about their grandfather!!!
"Dad, captain of my heart, you will never die because I will love you until the last breath I have!!"
