Erling Haaland reveals MILK is the secret behind his stunning goalscoring feats

Erling Haaland had amusingly revealed the secret behind his ridiculous goal-scoring feats this season, his magic potion of milk!

The Manchester City hitman is on course to smash league records this season, having already netted 45 goals in 39 games in all competitions for Pep Guardiola's men.

Now the Norwegian striker has taken to Twitter to reveal the secret fuel behind his eye-popping numbers - a healthy glass of milk.

Haaland posted a selection of images to his social media feed showing him happily enjoying two bottles of his favourite beverage, along with the caption 'Me and my magic potion'.

Adding a glass of milk and muscle arm emoji just to hammer home his point of what he jokingly believes helps his performances in front of goal.

It's not the first time Haaland has revealed the diet that has helped him become one of the most feared striker's in the world.

Last year the 23-year-old detailed the Hannibal Lecter-style diet during a documentary called Haaland: The Big Decision. Where he spoke of enjoying eating huge chunks of heart and liver.

Haaland also confessed to drinking water through a complicated filter system, that he is a fan of ice baths and wears glasses which filter out blue light to improve his sleep, alongside his 6,000 calories a day diet.

His latest confession over his love for milk has seen football's most famous connection to the white stuff jump on Haaland's bandwagon.

Fans of a certain vintage will recall the advert for milk from the 1980s, that saw two young Liverpool fans enjoying a glass of milk and discussing how Reds hero Ian Rush urged the young lad to drink the stuff so he'd be good enough to play for Accrington Stanley.

With the classic line of 'Accrington Stanley, who are they?' quoted amongst a generation of football fans.

Wasting no time in recalling the advert, both former striker Rush and Accrington Stanley's official Twitter feed quote tweeted Haaland's post with references to the classic ad.
