Cardiff City goalkeeper Neil Etheridge brought a unique stat with him when making his Premier League debut on Saturday afternoon as he became the first Filipino player to feature in the English top flight.
Etheridge was born in Enfield and picked up a solitary England Under-16s cap in 2005. But the 28-year-old has represented the Phillipines at senior level since 2008.
He won promotion to the top flight with Neil Warnock's Cardiff after joining them from Walsall last summer, and that feat gave him the opportunity to mark the Phillipines as the 113th nation to provide a Premier League player.
Unsurprisingly, England has been the most highly represented nation in the Premier League, with 1517 players from the country playing since 1992.
The largest quotient of players from a foreign nation comes from France, who have had 205 Premier League stars.
But it is the slightly more obscure nations that inspire a second glance.
Gael Bigirimana gave Burundi its first Premier League player when he represented Newcastle in 2012-13.
Former Manchester City goalkeeper Gunnar Nielsen is the only player to have featured from the Faroe Islands.
Gambia could take pride from Modou Barrow's efforts for Swansea, while Danny Higginbotham's association with Gibraltar sees the former Manchester United, Derby and Stoke man marked as their only Premier League star.
It is easy to forget Mesca's solitary appearance for Fulham, but for Guinea-Bissau it remains the only time one of their players has played in the Premier League.
Bersant Celina is the only player to represent the newly-recognised Kosovo, while Dylan Kerr gave Malta a star to support with Leeds in 1992-93.
Oman have only had Ali Al-Habsi feature while Zesh Rehman remains the only player from Pakistan.
Rehman's former club Fulham also played the solitary footballer in Premier League history to come from the Seychelles — Kevin Betsy.
There are also a series of countries where there have been a surprisingly high number of representatives.
China has provided five Premier League players. The two most successful were probably Li Tie and Sun Juhai, while Dong Fangzhou, Li Weifeng and Zheng Zhi all featured.
Curacao, a nation of just 180,000, has also had five Premier League players, the most successful being either Leandro Bacuna or Cuco Martina.
With 195 countries in the world, it will be interesting to see which nation throws up a Premier League player next.
